My husband was pondering this question and thought I should put it out there to see what others thought. He likes to throw these ones at me time and again just to keep me on my toes.
1 Cor. 2: 9,10 states “But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love him. But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”It is by his Spirit that we walk in faith now and also have faith to hope for those things that will come to fruition in glory.
Hebrews 11:1 defines faith for us as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
So if we realize and receive in all fullness when we are in heaven what has been promised to us now will faith still be necessary?

When you are through pondering this you might want to consider the following:

What type of faith are we referring to? 1) faith as a belief system – “the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.” OR 2) faith as a behavior – “confidence or trust in a person or thing”. Both.
James says that by works our faith is made perfect, in other words, the exercising of our faith. In this sense, I believe that we will continue to exercise our faith in heaven as we dwell with Christ and participate in worshipful eternal life. But will it require faith to continue on in that belief. I don’t think so. Heb. 12:12 declares that Jesus is the perfecter of our faith. By this grace we are saved and will inherit our heavenly home. But the confidence we now require will become complete and more of a fulfilled confidence. What I do know is that our faith will be made perfect there. By way of analogy, my analogy may help me explain. I find that my answer is difficult to put into words, though I know the words exist. When I finally find them and they have been said, then you will understand completely.

When we’re with Him we will be walking by SIGHT 🙂 We won’t need faith, at least not in the sense of the “assurance of things hoped for” – all our hopes will be realized, nor in the sense of “evidence of things not seen” – because they WILL be seen!

You are absolutely correct, our hope will now be fulfilled. We will see him as he is and their will be no need to exercise Faith. Our faith will now become a reality.
Nice topic.I believe that we will always need faith when we’re dealing with God because faith has to do with trusting God.So yes, somethings will be fullfilled before our very eyes but we will still need to trust God on other promisses like eternal life.What if, for example, God change his mind about us living forever somewhere along the line when we’re in heaven.He’s the almighty he can do that if he wants to.So I think we will always need to trust Him to keep his word.Haeven will be a new life but also with new promises.Here’s something else to think about.We are persons or spirits with a flesh body.Angels are persons or spirits with a spirit body.God however is a person or spirit without a body.How will we than be able to see Him without Him revaeling himself through Christ.I believe that what we will see is God in the form of Christ but we will never be able to enter into the holy of holys where only Christ can go.I might be wrong but I think God might just remain invisible for us even in heaven and therefore we will stil need faith to live with Him there.It is interesting that James 2:19 says that even evil spirits believe that there is one God.Believe?They are of the spirit realm and yet they believe?So yes,I believe faith will forever remain a necessity not only for us but all creation when dealing with God.
Hey, I’ve often wondered about this myself several years after believing in Jesus as my Savior. The one major question I have is…”how is the building of my faith through trials and tribulations here on earth preparing us for eternity in Heaven when we will never have those things once we all are there???”

/ \..Hii Steve, Here’s your answer. 1Pet4:12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.
Every trial of our faith and the victories will be relevant and even moreso by then when Christ is revealed. We will be like him and his glory will radiate through us to the extent that we suffered for him…. Else we would be most miserable of all men. Much love
Abram raises an important point. We are introduced to God (through the cross) by faith. We fall in love with Him by faith and daily enter more deeply into His awesome nature. Our exploration of God will never end because He is infinite (that’s the bliss of eternal life) and our continuing discovery of Him must be by faith. Our love for Him gives birth to deeper regions of faith and hope and so all three abide into eternity (1 Cor.13:13) Much love, John.

Heaven is the end of faith. To finally reach the salvation of our souls. We will not need faith because we will know Him even as we are known. The end of our faith.😊
If it takes faith to please God now. And the scriptures cannot be broken, won’t God still be pleased by Faith in heaven. God never changes He always the same, He’s not leaving heaven, we’re just arriving.
